Raising funds is a vital part of keeping the group going. Subscriptions are used to cover basic running costs such as badges, insurance and precept to district, county and national HQ.

The cost of Group equipment, the minibus and saving up for equipment, decorating the Scout Hall all come of the of the funds that our supporters raise. Our main sources of income are:

To raise money for the Group via shop2fundraise, you need to click on the link and on the home page you will see a text box. In this text box, enter ‘4th Barnehurst Scout Group’ and click on the ‘Find’ Button. After this step,  you would be raising money for the Scout Group.

Phil the Bag

The “Phil the Bag Scheme” is a unique opportunity which helps to demonstrate to the children the significance of textile recycling and re-using on both a local and global scale and provides valuable clothing for people in developing countries whilst boosting Group funds. Sainsbury’s Active Kid Vouchers

We now have the box for collecting vouchers in our scout hall.  This year you can collect 1 voucher for every £10 spent up until 10th April.  The more we collect the more we get. Can we get more vouchers than last year?

100 Club

Want to win some cash? Why not join the Club 100. Annual membership costs just £10. There is a draw each month and you could win £25 for First prize, £15 for Second prize and £5 for Third prize. There are 2 super draws one at Christmas and the other at summer with a £70 First prize, £40 Second prize and £20 Third prize.
